Corban, there is pretty much not one thing this young man can not do. Here is an image from today. Look for a full post of expressions coming soon!
Racca Party of 4....Almost!!
I was so excited to photograph the Racca’s while Annie is still in her Mommy’s tummy. A home shoot was jumping out at me…what better place for your three year old brother to feel at home, enjoy playtime while he is still the only kiddo running around. Henry is magical, and I wanted him to shine as he welcomes his sister in these images. Holly and Wes, you two are amazing parents to Henry, and I can not wait to see a curly haired little Annie running circles around you all before you know it. Enjoy these images. Enjoy these extraordinary humans.
Lily
I am working with some new lighting and have asked a couple of people to stop by for me to photograph and figure out what lenses I like best in this space, how I light the lighting set…so of course, I started with my neighbor. Lily. She is breathtakingly exquisite, brilliant, a great human being!
Jordan - 2021 Wylie High School Grad
Jordan was SO much fun to photograph. She is lovely and kind, super fun and super creative. I loved pulling out my ring light for the pictures at Minter Park. The images at the park have a vintage look to me. I feel like we could have burst out in song and tap danced our way through the park. Enjoy these images!
Jordan - WHS Class of 2021 {Sneak Peak}
Jordan is full of creativity and is so natural in front of the camera. We had a great time taking her pictures. Here are just a couple before the full blog post later this week…I hope!!
Scott, The Young Longhorn
I am slightly obsessed with cows, and doubly obsessed with longhorn steers. It is my Texas roots maybe? In old family movies I saw my dad hanging out as a kid on his granddaddy’s ranch which was full of longhorns. I have heard stories about cattle and land from my Nana since I was a little girl. All those wonderful stories I have treasured in my heart, because all the people who told them to me have crossed over to eternity, but each time I look at a long horn it reminds me of the stories and my family who told them to me. I had such a special afternoon out on the J&M Ranch last week and it started off with this big fella. Scott is a young longhorn, 2 years old. His back is taller than me. He definitely liked his picture taken. I think he actually posed for me. The rest of his posse followed his lead, he is a handsome boss man. Enjoy these images of Scott. He is a Beaut!!!
Jay and Martha
This couple just are so kind and fun. We had a great time at their ranch. We covered several acres and I got to see newborn calves, grandma cows, big cows, little cows…they were all so special and wonderful to see. While we were jetting around the ranch I got to take some pictures of these two looking fabulous. Jay and Martha work hard on their land, I so appreciate that I got to see just a smidge. Wildflowers were in great form due to the rain we had a couple of weeks ago, I even got Jay to spin Martha around for a fun twirl pic. Enjoy!!
Jaxon - Senior Portraits
Jaxon is heading to McMurry in the Fall. He is a super nice young man and is a joy to be around and photograph. As I said in his sneak peak, he is a natural in front of the camera, has mastered triathalons, and will make his mark in the world around him. I photographed him when he was a baby, I was thrilled to photograph him as he is about to leave home on this next part of his journey. Enjoy a couple of my favorites!
Sneak Peak of Jaxon
This is one of the kiddo’s, ok young men, that help me realize just how long I have slung a camera. I photographed him when he was a baby. He was a beautiful baby and now is such a kind and handsome young man. I have only said it once before about a client…this young man could model if he wanted. The first young man is modeling in L.A. now…so… Jaxon has a great mastery of expression and posing..none of which he even thinks about, it just happens. Kind of like when he thought he would “try” a triathalon because it sounded fun…then with no previous training ended up being a top state competitor. Jaxon, enjoy McMurry, rock your schooling, take the world by storm. You can do whatever you set your mind to. I have a sneak peak image right now. The blog post should be up tomorrow.
The McPherson Family
This family. They are funny, kind, brilliant and each filled with amazing humor and personalities! I loved taking their pictures last weekend. They kept each other laughing and me too!!
Sneak Peak of the McPherson Family
This family right here, they are so fun, beautiful, handsome,…they make me laugh. It had been 10 years since I had taken their family pictures,…Marshall was 6 years old. So to celebrate his 16th and get some lovely family images up on the wall we met up yesterday and did just that. Here is a family pic sneak peak and a Marshall is 16 sneak peak! I chose an image for the family where the sun bursts just lit up the picture,..they are my favorites. For Marshall’s sneak peak…I chose a pic of him in his truck. A young man and his first truck..that’s something to remember.
Luke - Headshots
I met up with Luke downtown to take some new head shots for him. He is SUCH a great guy. We had a blast catching up on each of our families and everyone in my family was totally jealous I got to hang out with him and they didn’t. A good headshot is SO important for work. We took about 25 minutes and it was not painful at all. For all you needing headshots out there…I am your go to!
Rhonda and Joe - Wedding Day
This was not the easiest time to plan a wedding. But these two,..their spirits of joy and kindness just lit up the venue. I chose some images that I thought would tell a bit of the story of the day, their joy and love for each other, and the smiles they bring everywhere they go.
This images represents 3 generations of love in the Bilbrey family. Lena’s sweet face held close on a silver charm, Lena’s wedding ring, Rhonda’s grandmother’s wedding ring and then in the middle, Rhonda’s engagement ring. Rhonda had lots of love held in her bouquet.
The Patel Family
Several weeks ago I was blessed to hang out with this awesome crew. Out of town family had come for a visit. My favorite images are always the traditional clothing images, the colors, the textures, history, I just think it adds so much to an image. So I chose one of the images where the family was dressed in traditional clothing to show today. I also am always heart struck when a husband and wife look in each other’s direction and their smiles are so genuine and beautiful. Pure delight.
Madison - Headshots, some fun shots, lots of loveliness...so so so beautiful.
Madison is heading to Medical School and needed some new head shots before she left. I was also glad to take some gorgeous and fun pictures of her as well. She is stunning. Stunning. Maybe the most kind person I have ever met. I am blessed to have spent this time with her.
Lauren - High School Graduate 2020 Alb, NM
Lauren is full of life. She is beautiful, brilliant and has a great future ahead of her. She has been spunky from the day she was born, her personality and kindness always leave a room more bright than when she enters. Enjoy these images!
Denika - 2020 High School Graduate Alb, NM
Denika is brilliant, beautiful, kind and such an encourager. I had a great time getting to know her in Albuquerque last week. She has a great future ahead of her and I can’t wait to see the all the good she does for the world.
Alyssa - Senior Portraits - 2020 Graduate Baird High School
My camera absolutely loved Alyssa. She was a natural in front of the camera! We were blessed with a random coolish day to take pictures and made the most of the gorgeous light and temperate weather. It was a super fun night! Enjoy these images.
Jimmie and Brenda - Happy 60th Wedding Anniversary
Well these two, they are precious. They are still in love, enamored, and you can see it in their eyes. I love spending time with them, I love watching them together, I love taking their picture together. They are each other’s best friend and each others favorite human. We took these pics more than social distanced, I stood 20 feet back with a long lens, my cute face mask on, and they just sat there and did what they do,…look at each other like there is no one else around. Enjoy these images!
Anna Claire - Wylie High School 2020 - Senior Portrait Finalé
When I photographed Anna Claire a couple of weeks ago we were unable to arrange to get into the Paramount Theatre due to the quarantine shut downs. So as things are starting to loosen up a bit, and because Anna Claire has such a rich history with the Paramount we were allowed in for a short time. I would like to thank my lighting assistant, Amy Boone, and our trusty iPhones for our on stage lighting. Anna Claire is pure poetry. These images to me are like a lovely sonata, with movement, grace and expression. I felt like some of the poetry of these images is a ballerina’s legs and feet. I wanted each note to shine, so there is little to no retouching on most of these images.
so·na·ta/səˈnädə/ sonata - composition for an instrumental soloist, often with a piano accompaniment, typically in several movements with one or more in sonata form. Originlate 17th century: Italian, literally ‘sounded’ (originally as distinct from ‘sung’), feminine past participle of sonare .
